ATSJAX @ the Jacksonville Marathon

Dec 19, 2010 | Blog

I’ve just completed organizing and providing the Medical Services for the Jacksonville Bank Marathon. It was a very cold morning (low 40’s and steady breeze off the river) for nearly 2,500 runners who competed in 5k, half marathon and marathon. Low census in medical tent thankfully, but treated several for hyperthermia. We are thankful to our Medical Director, Dr. Kevin Doulens of First Coast Orthopedics; the crew at Advanced Patient Transportation, and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue MERV & Bike teams for their great support. With them we are able to provide a quality coverage and safe event.
