The past two months I have visited legislators in both Washington, DC as well as in Tallahassee,Fl. to discuss the profession of athletic training and promote sports safety for our athletes. This was apart of a greater effort by the National Athletic Trainers Association, The National Alliance for Sports and the Athletic Trainers Association of Florida and numerous parents, athletes, & professionals. All athletes have the freedom to participate in sports, it’s up to us to help provide a safe environment and the proper healthcare for these athletes.
