Concussions

May 4, 2012 | Blog

It’s the first day of contact in spring football. Concussions are real, I just examined one yesterday on the first day of full contact at football practice. Fortunately, we have coaches who read the warning label on the back of the helmet warning of the dangers of collisions in sports. They also take the time to properly instruct their athletes in the proper techniques to hit and tackle before beginning contact drills. Always make sure you see what you hit, never lower your head, spear your opponent, or use your head or butt or ram another.
